We help people find genuinely free, useful desktop software and reach the official place to download it — without ads disguised as download buttons, bundled installers or sign-up walls.
A catalog, not a file host
We do not host or repackage installers. Every app page links you to the publisher’s own website or another external source. You always download from there, not from us.
Independence
We are not affiliated with the software publishers we list. Listings are editorial choices, not paid placements, and we do not accept payment to rank or feature an app.
How we pick apps
We focus on well-known free and open-source desktop tools with an active project behind them and a clear official download page. We prefer linking directly to the publisher.
Who maintains this
DesktopBay is a small independent project. If something is wrong, out of date or should be removed, tell us.
